Brief

Apple’s HomePod line has seen minimal updates since the 2nd Gen release in 2023. This project reimagines the HomePod Pro by enhancing spatial audio and integrating smarter AI-driven features. Leveraging my skills in UI/UX, 3D modeling, and visual design, the concept builds on Apple’s ecosystem while introducing “Apple Intelligence” to anticipate user needs—offering a seamless, intuitive, and future-ready smart home experience.

Moldboard & Sketches

For the HomePod Pro, I drew from the existing HomePod design language—emphasizing minimalism, soft geometry, and rounded surfacing. Using a curated mood board, I explored material choices, proportions, and overall form to guide my early sketches. These studies helped evaluate potential design directions that aligned with Apple’s aesthetic while introducing new functionality, balancing form and usability.

USER INTERACTION

Dynamic Interactions

I used the Dynamic Island to streamline access to HomeKit features, placing a smart control hub in the bottom-left corner of the UI. This allows quick, fluid access to lighting, temperature, and more—designed to feel seamless and intuitive within the overall HomePod experience.
